I'm not cowboy enough. I find most people who wear cowboy-style boots around here are just posers who've probably never gone to a rodeo, gone hunting or done anything else like that.

you don't have to go to a rodeo or hunting or whatever .... cowboy boots are in-fashion right now plus they are very comfortable

Now we're working on a 2nd .......... of everything I've been through, I've never been so nervous about everything till I had a child. He was born at the exact same hour and minute as I was but while he's a Dec baby, I was born in March. That first nite I feel asleep on the hospital room couch and woke up to my wife screaming because he had stopped breathing and she was trying to wake him up. I sprung up and hit the alarm by her bed but everything was ok, it was like he done a big breath and didn't need to take another one for a bit.

That would cool if he did but no pressure, if he wants join a branch thats perfectly fine, if not he has a college money thats growing in the bank for him.

Sounds great. Can't imagine what it would be like tbh, but of all things getting a baby would probably scare me the most.

When did he learn to walk / talk? My brother only started walking when he was 2 years old but apparantly he was very quick to start talking in sentences and all that. I was the opposite, walked at 8 months and started talking properly many months later.

How is the fit on them? I have pretty massive calves, would I need to have them custom made?

as long as you stay away from the " buckaroo" style ( they are extremly tall boot ) you'll do fine

espically with the ariat roughstock, it has a much more open and comfortable shaft then the other typical cowboy boot

I had issues getting my jump boots to fit. I'd be terrified of trying to wedge my leg into something that didn't even lace up.

Naturally huge legs. Don't have an ounce of fat on them.

I was intrigued by the idea, but having seen that there's no way I could pull those off.
