What I wanna know is what do people with touresstes say if they don't know any "offensive" words?
As someone said earlier in the thread (before his post was deleted..), only about 10% of those with Tourette's do the whole loud swearing thing. Which is another issue with TV-shite like this - it paints a picture far far away from reality.Adams_BJ wrote:

I believe it's essentially muscle spasms (tics) - they rarely form words, it's mainly grunts and similar sounds (as you'd kind of expect from a tic).

For some reason it seems that any word that is associated as "bad" to say in any situation is used. The one girl in the show yelled "bomb" at the airport, not exactly a swear word, but for obvious reasons it is not aloud to be said at airports.
