got home from work about an hour and a half ago. sucks getting up before 6am. training sucks, but once it's over, my job is going to kick ass (airline pilot)

screwed up - a bird got stuck in my chimney. When i opened the fluke (vent in the fireplace) it was hanging on to this ledge by the vent thing. I put a box at the bottom, thinking it would fall into the box because the lady from animal control said it would be really tired and would probably collapse and we would just be able to pick it up and take it outside.....she was wrong. This bird had been in there overnight, and a total of probably 32 hours or so, and it was more pissed off than it was tired. Long story short, it managed to get out of my fence cover for the fireplace and fly over and land on my chandeleer (sp?). The front door was propped open, so we were able to scare it so it flew outside. That is one of the most annoying sounds ive ever heard, the bird being stuck in the chimney and chirping, fluttering its wings trying to get out, scratching the metal insides of the chimney, and trying to peck its way out.......pretty messed up day
