S&W 60 .357 mag atop.
It all boiled down to convenience for me. I decided I didn't want to carry a full size, even the magnum there was kinda a pain to wear around.
However, this one is worth a look, Sig 238.

Still man, that is 700 bucks for .380!! It is like the Khar PM9, a little pocket 9 mm for 700-750 bucks is nuts. Spend 490 bucks and get a glock 26 or 27, or 19 etc.. better yet get a glock 30 or 36. Gotta love .45's13rin wrote:

Well running from the scene and pretending it wasn't you isn't the best way to build a case for self defence, is it?-Sh1fty- wrote:

Get a revolver or load your semi-auto with gloves and make sure the casing are clean. This might be stupid advice, but if you have to shoot somebody I'd gtfo and pretend it never happened.
TL;DR shoot and scoot, no 911
yes no? I wouldn't want the government being a douche after I had to defend myself.
Wouldn't the government be a big pain in the ass? You'd have to prove it was self-defense right?
Honestly, it's dumb and dumber around here sometimes.
Stingray, would go no less than a 9mm. Best of both worlds of compact, caliber and rounds carried, the preferred caliber seems to be .40 sw. from all I have read. However the best advice I have read is:Stingray24 wrote:
Thanks, I was just about to say the same. No matter why anyone chooses to carry, I'm just looking for opinion on the hardware here.
As far a CCW, the best weapon honestly is one you are comfortable with and accurate with. Basically meaning there is no right answer for everyone. Better to be accurate with a .380 than miss with a .45. Personally I carry a Glock 30 .45 ( 11 rounds). A little thick and am considering a .40 caliber next. However the Glock 30 is very concealable.

Eh in some cities in the U.S. as long as you don't leave behind prints or something you can probably get away with shooting some random person on the street.Jaekus wrote:

They were killed in her home by a person they knew. I don't think anyone is against having a gun as a home defense weapon but the OJ incident can't be used as an argument in favor of CC.
I thought I was in DST. Shit sorry everyone.

I wouldn't run from the Law. But know them as it depends on the State you're IN. In Florida the duty to retreat has been removed. The castle doctrine has been extended from your home to include your automobile. Statute specifically prohibits from prosecution if proved you have stood your ground when forcibly challenged. This did lead to unintended consequences a year or two ago, whereas a gang member was able to claim this when members of another gang engaged him in a firefight. A glitch bill was worked to fix this.Macbeth wrote:

Also remember that yes, deadly force can be used to prevent a forcible felony, but for fuck's sake pick your goddamn battle as it will put your life on hold for potentially years and you'll be totally fucked if proved wrong (let alone living with the guilt of killing someone when you shouldn't have).

Not with this case. Self defense for OJ, he would have needed the gun.
thanks Oprah, we now know the truth
well the glove didn't fit so there's no way he did it

You however, I went too far with earlier, and I apologize for that. Insulting you would never get you to change your mind on the subject so I don't know why I went that route. Shouldn't have been done.
I still don't agree with why you choose to carry, but I'll just leave it at that. Again, I apologize for the insults I heaped on you earlier. You were correct that you maintained your politeness throughout, even though I did not deserve it.
See all that makes sense. But someone like shifty would in all likelihood end up botching the getaway, get caught by the authorities and have to explain why he fled a situation where he killed someone. A good prosecution could put him in prison for years.13rin wrote:
