I've been trying to capture more intriguing photos lately. Not necessarily just those that are visually stunning, but ones that bring the viewer curiously in. In other words, I'm working on my composition . I like this shot because it is very atypical of Florida. A friend commented that it looked more like Nebraska than Fl.

@Kmar: no 500px for me, I have a hard enough time keeping up with Flickr and my contacts there nowadays (fuck you, three jobs)
Thinking of dropping $115 on a 10-stop ND filter, or buying a used photo backpack from a friend. I really really like seascapes and long exposure landscapes... But Im not sure if its justifiable since I wont be able to use it as often as a new bag. Choices, choices. Anyone happen to have used 8-10 stop NDs before?

Film will always have that certain something to it that digital can never truly capture.
i was surprised at how cheap it is, too. actually more cost effective than the new-fangled DSLR's if you save photography for genuine occasions and only take a photo of things really worth capturing. obviously you lose the convenience and ease of the DSLR but, yeah, film seems to create something much more personal and... uh... 'bespoke'? plus it's ultra cool and hip and trendy and vintage
