Hello,

I was playing dirt3 and measured my temperatures with Speedfan.

Is the GPU and the CPU + mobo temp too hot?

edit: its a Q9550 processor and an ENGTX275

Thanks

The GPU temp is fine.

The CPU/MB temp I'm thinking is probably an erroneous reading as your CPU would most likely shut down if it was that hot Also by the looks of it Core 0 and Core 1 of your CPU are running at 48C and 46C which is fine (Don't hold me true to that because I don't really know the ins and outs of speedfan).

If you want to be really sure I'd suggest you download another temp monitoring program here are some you can try:
CoreTemp
HWMonitor
You can download the .exe for both so you don't have to install them, if you don't want to.

I second CoreTemp. I used it quite a lot when I had CPU issues a couple years ago.

that 154 reading is wrong. You can safely ignore it
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot  xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.

When I had CPU issues the computer was shutting down whenever it reached 80C. Check your BIOS to see if it is set to shut down too (it was the default for me). If it isn't shutting down then it shouldnt be an issue.
