I give you a hard time but I've only drove threw there. I figured it was a good idea since I'm white bread.

To be fair, the bits of NJ I saw were pretty cool. Providing you stayed north of the 495.
Princeton is gorgeous. The NJ Turnpike or whatever passes through the shitty parts, yes, but outside of that it's nice. NJ used to be the richest state by median income and I think it's the second now (surpassed by Maryland ) so it kinda HAS to look nice in some parts.

Just stay out of Newark, Camden, Trenton, Union, Elizabeth, Rahway, Jersey City, basically all the big cities, and you'll be fine.
I have spent some time in DC.. and I remember feeling claustrophobic.

Funny, I was just looking at a list of states by population density. DC would be the densest state by far.Kmar wrote:

e: I think it's better than NYC though.

Nope.. I actually went to NYC after DC and it didn't feel as bad.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

I don't remember D.C. being as dense as NYC when I went there back in '02. I know it was long time ago though.
to each their own, perhaps when you retire you can find a nice apartment in Chelsea

Hah yeah. Leaving the airport all you see is these factories and shit, and it's a fucking depressing looking place for a while there.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

that's because NYC is denser than DC by all measures (city, urban and metropolitan)Macbeth wrote:
