i know its a game and not realistic. but i do really find it extremely annoying. you for sure know the facts...if you reach altitude of 700+ (some jets more, some less), you start losing control and get lost in space...as if you had just left the stratosphere behind...

isn´t that ridiculous? at this altitude (i think it should be meters) even bees and birds would pass you by and be laughing their asses off when they saw you fighting against the lost gravity. in maps like gulf of oman, when you play on servers where uncap-attacks get u kicked, be a mec-pilot and you will spend the time flying in small circles like a horse on a leash; get to high and u r lost, approach the carrier and u get teh boot... don´t forget to change direction every 10min, otherwise your neck might get hurt after some rounds

irl, a jet can easily climb up to 12000 or 15000m altitude. dogfighting and flying in general in the game could be much more fun and realistic if they could raise the ceiling to maybe 2000m. my opinion...

That and if you're 10meters off the limits off a map, you get shot down (Shot down by what? A mini mg inside your cockpit or something?). Unrealistic, yeah. But other wise, it would be impossible to find other jets to shoot down.

I find the best way to get out of it is to take your hand off the stick. cut the juice and read the way the jet moves on its own. When it starts to pitch down, hit the juice and with abit of fighting you can get control back. You have to start this as soon as you go into a spin as it takes awhile to make it work.

bear in mind that the gaming area is a finite space... the land, sea etc are all plotted with co-ordinates which are finite..  the bigger the map, the more resources the pc's need to generate it.  when u fly too high, u are going outside the 'box', and rather than have u fly into a fixed invisible wall, u just have your life sucked to set invisible boundaries to the map.

Don't the planes get "the shakes" somewhere about 400-600m?

Yeah it sucks, but then again its not a sim.  And then what stops the assholes from flying above everything for the whole round and raining death down untouched by ground weapons.

And I haven't figured out the scale.  But when they use the meters system I don't think it's applicable to firearm ranges or anything else of the like.  They'd also be out of the range of AA and Stingers.

I'd like it more realistic, but to have that that'd have to screw with several other things and we'd be up to our necks in patches.

I do this on purpose sometime to loose jets that are chasing me. Its pretty easy to get out of when you get the hang of it. Basically its like when you are driving a car and you go into a skid, to get out of it you have to drive into the skid, rather than trying to stop skidding which makes it worse.

Its a balancing issue. If jets were to fly to 2000m the AA couldn't spot them. I mean being a jet whore and all, I would like this but it would be pretty cheap. About 700-750 seems to be the max on wake, not sure about the other maps...Its a good spot for the F-35 to fly though, just do dive bombing runs and fire all 6 missiles at j10s if you get a chance, then boot it back to 700m. Most of the time the j10 is too busy evading the missiles and you have a chance to hide back in the fog.

I think they just need to re-balance the flares and do something about all of the US jets so that they can actually compete.

They all lose control at the same altitude. 1000ft. You CAN lose control before then if your momentum is carrying you to the ceiling very quickly your movements become cumbersome and it's harder to avoid hitting the ceiling. Spend some time on your own doing loops right next to the ceiling so you can get a feel of how to pull out of a stall. Using the ceiling to your advantage is the best way to lose a jet on your tail that you can't seem to shake. If nothing else you can break the ceiling, making sure you're not too close to the out of bounds line and then cut your engine. It's a waste of time but it's better than getting shot down. Once you get to 900 feet throttle up and nose down. I agree tho, the ceiling is too low, should be about 1500.

Basically what I would've said.  It's necessary to put certain restrictions on the game because let's face it... there are three wars going on at a time on a map:  In the air, infantry, and vehicles.  It's pretty impressive.

No kidding. but there IS a "ceiling" for where you are able to be in complete control. and that "ceiling" is around 700feet.

I've been 80,000+ feet before... (took me 30minutes and 40 seconds to reach the ground skydiving without chute)

I have seen a few people in this thread say that the F-35 doesn't handle well with high alt and I am inclined to completely disagree with that. When that jets gets around 650 it dominates, I will have perfect control and i will be going speeds upwards of 2000 MPH. If you say the F-35 doesn't handle well with heights then you needs to stop whoring the J-10 in wake and try out the F-35. I have gotten upwards of 100 points in the f-35 with no deaths and without capping the airbase for the whole round, you just need to know how to oush the jet almost to its limits and keep it there.

Wake is quite easy to do that in. I use to do it all the time (computer probs haven't played in a long while). It seems all of the good pilots get on USMC so theres no real battle with the J10s. I personally don't like the J10s. But the US jets are far from being evenly matched. You can't disagree there.
