I would love to be able to look around while in a jet using the POV hat on my joystick. The mouse look is not very functionable. Maybe its just my joystick but when I use the mouse look I can't maneuver the jet and look around at the same time. Anybody else have this same issue with mouse look?
thats normal in everything but a car.
You could use joy2key in the file download section to map all the POV directions to mouse movement directions. Then Map a button on your joystick to press ctrl for mouse look, then you sohuld be able to POV around with the joystick.Souls wrote:

Thanks for the tip but have already tried that. The probelm is I want to manuever the jet as I'm looking around. Can't get the jet to roll or pitch while I'm in mouse look. Dont know if its my joystick that won't let that happen or the game.
My guess would be lazy coding by DICE; it wouldn't be the first time. Methinks your screwed. Looking around in the cockpit was the biggest drawback in the BF series - for some reason they never built it in properly, and every flight sim has it (it is a necessity for tracking your opponents!) yet DICE went with the don't know don't care attitude and we have a really shitty fighter combat system for BF2. Honeslty a child could master this system it's so basic especially with the improved air to air. Lock, wait for flares, shoot, win. Exciting...Souls wrote:

Thats the way it is. The different camera modes are the only way to track what happens not straight ahead (if the server allows external views...). It was the same with BF42 (never played BFV, but I gues same problem there...). just crazy that they are not able to implement this correctly.[CANADA]_Zenmaster wrote:
