Why does nobody play medic on karkand anymore? And mashtuurs SS teams

Okay.. one night, on the EA UK servers, I play a few rounds on Krapkand...suprise to me that there is hardly any medics, shrug and get on with it I do.

Next night, again, very few medics.

Night after...3 Medics! 59/62 players were not medics? WTF

I remember when it used to be the other way around. Medic heaven!

If I am on USMC I play as Engineer, cause the shotgun is devastating. Mec i play medic for the AK101. Either way I end up with 60+ points every time.

I love the way mashtuur turns every man and his dog into super snipers, running about in their Ghille (sp) suit with their pistol armed, only to get mowed down by my AK101 (FTW). The other day I counted 22 snipers on my team. 22!

Mec were down to one base (the hill) and there were...wait... 12..yes 12!!!!! TWELVE snipers all camped on the same roof, the one that you can see the hill, mosque and backyard from. 12!!!

Having no commander, I apply, and send arty on them all, killing them all straight away.

Granted, mashtuur is the best sniper map, but that doesnt mean everyone needs to go sniper. Most of them just camp in one spot, getting about 2 kills in the whole round. Most of the noob snipers camp in the stupidest of places and become another digit on my knife kill amount.

I've been playing sniper less since I got expert and have really taking a liking for the AK101 XD

I've noticed this too. I've just begun playing sniper, and enjoy it immensely. But when I get nailed by a bad guy, I need medical attention and ask for it. Then I look on the map and lo and behold, no medics at all. And of course, no supply crates for loners like me!

Or worse.. much worse.. the medics who, while you stand RIGHT NEXT TO THEM and holler "I need a medic, quick!", "Medic to this position!" etc etc ad nauseum, they don't throw medpacks, don't help you at all, just stand there like stuffed ducks ignoring your pleas for attention.

I swear, I've NEVER wanted to teamkill anyone until that happened. Honestly, to get these dicks' attention, a bullet seems like the only way!! Please note I do not approve of intentional TK in any way, shape or form.

I think it depends on a few things. First maybe its just your server. Second, I've noticed medics seem to stick to "high volume" areas such as the hotel.

i play as a medic and don't whore that much on it via revives/heals on karkand. i like shooting people in the face, not shock paddling them. i was on a 64 karkand server the other day(volpi, i think) and started whoring to get some badges. i had a few 100+ rounds as USMC(they didn't team switch at the end of the round) with me just sitting back, picking people off sneaking around and then reviving teammates all the time.

most rounds though, there aren't as many medics as their used to be -- at least on the servers i play too.

The same things happened to me...however I do enjoy using the medic so I help fill the position quite nicely...if I see someone in need of health I don't hesitate to drop a med pack...the way I figure it...the less medics out there the more points for me...but I'm only one man and I can't be everywhere at once so that is a down side...I just hope it's a phase and Karkand will start getting it's ranks of medics back...

+1 for the topic starter.

I've noticed this as well and for some reason the support guys are becoming more rare as well.
The grenade festival at the beginning of each round should be heaven for support players but alas, no such thing.

I have a quick computer so I usually get a head start at spawn so I placed two clays in critical spots and tried to find a support player to stock up again (since those claymores are gonna blow real soon!) but the only one we had ignored me even though I was standing right in front of him yelling my head off.
(It was tempting to TK him but I don't do that no matter what)

So after I died I spawned as support and just ran around dropping ammo bags everywhere and for some reason my team mates were out of ammo... And very grateful!

Tell me about it man, 12 snipers, most I've seen is 4 on that roof top. However on Karkand I found 6 guys (2 snipes, 1 support, 1 assault, 2 medics) on the roof adjacent to the hotel spawn. I climbed up (No claymores O.o) and put a c4 in the middle of them. One guy noticed the C4 charge next to him, turns around to watch me climb down the ladder and I press the button as he jumps and BOOM!!!! (he goes flying ) So like your arty drop its not always a bad thing!!!

I cant tell you how many times ive played on a team with 22 + medics or 22 + support on every map and no one seems to moan about that. Heaven forbid if ever on one map theres 22 + snipers. what a crime against hummanity

and maybe lack of medics is due to

I play medic on Karkand maps but I like playing sniper now I can lay a lot of claymores and there is always someone who is going to run into them because they are trying to cap hotel flag, but if u play medic u can also get mad points since a lot of peeps die, I play medic a lot 2.

Cuz whenever people play medic and HELP their team, plenty of crybaby whingers spit out their dummies cuz they got revived and they wanted to die or there was an APC owning them. PRESS CAPS LOCK SO YOU CAN'T BE REVIVED OR CHANGE KIT AND CHANGE IT BACK!!! And if they don't get revived cuz the medic is actually ENGAGING the enemy, the medic is a n00b for not doing his job, despite being a COMBAT MEDIC - read the name!!
I don't even play medic that much, but I know this.

Just underline your request with some bullets in their direction...you'll defo get attention!
Also works for Ammo requests!
If they still don't react...knock 'em off their feet and drop Meds/Ammo for everyone!

Everybody plays sniper or assualt with the g3. Impossible to cap hotel at karkand then.

Rarely will I snipe, if I do it's for the clay's and not the rifle. I know it got nerfed but I still find my PKM effective vs most snipers.
