So yeah, I think I did pretty good considering. The pact of steel never happened. I went on a "liberty crusade," eliminating "oppressive monarchies" and "petty dictatorships" in the name of New Rome. Guaranteeing independence of Ireland, USA, Germany and France. No idea how I conquered Switzerland without attracting undue attention, though.
The reason I keep starting new games in HoI 3 is because it gets far too bogged down on this machine late into the war.

Relatively impressed, I guess. The game's very easy to pick up from where I left off on the SNES. Lots of unintentionally-funny stuff, though.
