Hope it's not as bad as Isabel was, really as long as the power stays on I'm fine, that's the worst that happened for Isabel and BGE/Washington Gas have been preparing for it anyway by cutting down lots of plants near the power lines

yeah, i just got back from work and it's mostly heavy rain. buses and trains are down, many shops are closed and very few cars on the road. i think we'll see the worst tomorrow morning.

a. The majority of the aircraft at my airport have fled to drier regions of the world and
b. the remaining aircraft will not be flying joyously around in the hurricane tomorrow so
we're closed and i get a paid day off.
