I've been trying to say this but its not coming out right so you're not getting me. I'll try to put it in the simplest of scenarios, you're flying straight behind the bogey, he's flying straight. You fire the missiles STILL flying straight because you see him unchanging, but in ACTUAL fact, he already banked off, flared, dived or something along those lines.
So it doesn't matter what the missile 'sees' but what really matters is the position that you THOUGHT was optimal has already changed, you don't have a good look on him anymore AND you're firing your missiles, so your missiles won't latch on him properly.
Get what I'm trying to say? Its not what the missiles 'see' as much as the compromised position in which you're trying to fire the missiles in.
