We have roundabouts and traffic circles everywhere in DC. I attribute it to the Frenchman who designed the city...
As a wanna-be transportation engineer, I can confidently say that roundabouts are great and improve traffic flow and we hate the public because they don't know what's best for them.
They really are great once you get confident about navigating them.
yeh but sometimes (a lot of the time) you get these dickheads who wait at the front of a busy roundabout and don't go even when there's a clear gap you can get in
