Battlefield is great at creating anger and frustration for everyone at times...not just medics. I wouldn't take it personal.

- I sense anger (the downside to being a medic)
Wow.. I'm glad I live in europe, haven't seen any of this crap yet (nor any statspadding, m95-cockpit sniping, radio spamming commanders, you name it)

it spreads like AIDS, trust meSargeV1.4 wrote:

you make some valid points...
Timing can be a big issue, and as long as the medic is trying you cant get pissed. People are going to fuck up sometimes and that was your turn to be in a bad place at a bad time. How many times have you about died and a medic rez'd you with 2 secs left and you guys were able to finish your objective? Although it does suck to be rez'd with 2 secs left and die right a way restarting your death timer.

This guy says he dont use GUNS. Nades (at time of writing) arn't guns, yes they have a trigger. (same applies for women). SO STOP HAVING A GO...........He hasn't bullshitted.tF-voodoochild wrote:
Since I started a new account called ShockPaddies I've been 'inappropriately reviving' people all the time (because I don't use any guns on the account.) So far I haven't had anyone complain about being revived into a firefight, and most of the time I find it helps us actually win the fight since the enemies suddenly have multiple targets to shoot at. Typically either the person I just revived will shoot the guy who just downed him, or he will end up being a nice distraction so I can run up and shock paddle the enemy. Works wonders!
i hate medics like that, cause you need 1 second to respawn somewhere else to plan an attack, and then "CLEAR", then i die again with the medic and i wait a total of 30 seconds before i can play instead of 15.... i usualy start a kickvote if they do it in a "i just want score" way.Skruples wrote:
I consider myself to be reasonably intelligent when it comes to making decisions on the battlefield. I try not to run under friendly tanks, and I don't punish them when I do. I throw medpacks at people when they need them. I try and kill enemies before reviving someone. However, on occasion I will revive people into dangerous situations, either because I cannot do anything about the danger and I think they can, or because having as many people alive as possible is generally a good thing.
Yesterday, while I was playing Songhua Stalemate, I was part of a large infantry push into north island. I happened to revive my squadmate while an APC was laying waste to everyone around us. Immediately after dying again he screamed something to the effect of "stop fucking reviving me you fucking medics FUUUUUCK!!!1" over the microphone. Come on. What is the downside to being revived and dying? You don't get a death on your record (until you actually die), and you might be able to help. I managed to avoid being shot by the APC, perhaps if he had been a little quicker on the uptake he would have moved and not died again. This is not the only time Ive had this experience. A while back on Sharqi I revived a colonel into a firefight (after teamkilling him because he thought it would be a good idea to walk in front of my gun), after which we both died. Was it a good move? Perhaps not, but it could have also saved us both.
This has gotten longer than I intended, but I think I got my point across. Being revived doesn't hurt you. If you pay attention and get moving as soon as you hear the zap you stand a very good chance of surviving even the worst revives. The medic is your friend, so don't give him a hard time for doing his job.
a tip for all medics that want to revive in a battle: first trow some med packs, that gives health after reviving when beeing shot at and then they have enought time to run...
if u dont want revived, change weapon on the respawn screen just after u die... your corpses fades from the battlefield immediately u do it...
all u then have to do is reselect your kit before 15 secs is up. Ta Dah! i thought everyone knew this technique....

I always run TO the medic when I need him.polarbearz wrote:
I don't really care if the dude is screaming for a medic yet running full pelt away from me, i'll just revive him when he dies or something. More points for me.
By the by, tell me if you people agree with this:
If you are a medic and need health, and there is a friendly medic near you, take his medic bags. That way he gets points and you get your health back. If he's low on health, give him yours and you get points. Of course, if the situation is very hostile, do whatever will get you health the fastest.
Heh, when you revived them in a firefight, they scream: Do not revive me! wtF! bla bla bla...
If you did not revive them, they scream: wtF! Why did not you revive me? Stupid medics! So many medics around and noone can help! bla bla bla...
--------
So, if you do not like medics there is a simple solution... Do not die.

As a fellow medic whore, I get where you are coming from. At the same time, it does get frustrating when you are revived into a firefight, get killed, revived, killed, over and over. If the medic will not shoot the guy killing you, but will revive, it is really annoying more than anything else. Also, you are giving the enemy free points. That being said, I revive friendlies as much as I can, and if I notice someone consistently shooting a guy I revive, I either go for the kill, or just leave him be.Skruples wrote:

@ Stryker- I find it very hard to believe that you have been shocked with defibrillator paddles. Those things would 9/10 times stop your heart from beating, and any person well-versed in their use would know better than to shock you with them
hate to tell you this does not work, the only way your body fades is if you are completly dead... eg direct hit from arty, tank shell, lots of grenades or C4 exploding on your body or you suicide and you have a 3rd person view of your body fopr a second or two.uber73 wrote:

No matter what you do if you are still in first person view (even if it say "you have been killed") you can be revived. The only way to stop this from happening is to commit suicide... i dont know if you lose the 2 points as i said earlyier but you probbaly dont.
he is correct. suicide is the only way im aware of, as well.DrunkFace wrote:

Wrong. If it says "you've been killed" you are unrevivable. If it says 'You've been critically wounded' you are revivable. See for yourself.DrunkFace wrote:

And I think that people shouldn't entirely blame the medics. Yes, there are some morons that will simply take the 2 points and hapilly die, but when you are revived you should get the F*ck out of there instead of lieing on the ground for 5 seconds typing some lame insult.

I find it frustrating to be revived by a medic for one of two reasons
1) I want to spawn somewhere else, all the way across the map
2) I just waited 14 seconds, got revived again, and killed again and now I have to wait another 15????
However, usually I am grateful for being revived, and I have been revived enough times when I really wanted to be revived that it doesn't piss me off too badly if either of the above situations does happen.
I love watching enemy medics do it. I deliberately wait for the medic to revive the second guy before shooting cuz hey, free kills! does anyone else do it? It's probably bad sportsmanship, but at the same time, war is war...if he's dumb enough to revive a crowd while I'm standing by with PKM in hand, God bless him, cuz it's fun to kill two people at once

If I play medic it's just for the G36E and not for anything else
It's that moment that I put away the AK-101 and pull out the gp-30!G3|Genius wrote:

Man, I love assault. My average K: D as a medic was about 3-4:1. As assault I'm getting 6-8:1. The 'noobtube', the body armour, and the smoke are all extremly useful
Try the AK-101 sometime, dude. You'll love itCruZ4dR wrote:

Medics who run around with their fancy guns and refuse to lay out health when I'm "I NEED A MEDIC HERE I NEED A MEDIC HERE" jumping up and down in their way with one bar of health really really frustrate me.CruZ4dR wrote:

I can understand not reviving me, because I only see them on the minimap as little red crosses, and I have no clue how many hostiles are around. If they can't get to me, no big deal. but for crying out loud, give me health!!!
I think that people don't understand how important a medic is to the game. Every revive and every healing point they get is basically a kill for your team because it's one fewer point that gets subtracted from the team's ticket points.
Have you ever lost a game 1-0?
were you a medic just for the G36E that game? It's your fault your entire team lost and your commander did not get double the points.
I appreciate it when the medics make an effort to revive me in most cases. However, when I am in a situation where I'm getting getting whored, or when a medic goes strait to shock paddles instead of making an effort to nutralize the enemy by firing at him with his/her weapon, it pisses me off to no end. You bet your ass I'm gonna let them know about it. For the most parts, medics use and should have common sense. In my eyes, they hold the battle in check, and can help maintain a good push in the line. When used with common sense, the medics are key in success.
nope you can be revived aslong as you are still in first person view, If the view has changed to third peron, that is the only time you can not be revived, It does not matter what it says.SargeV1.4 wrote:
