there is no point to it? what? unless someone is just being a tard, the whole point of it is to take out the enemy tank. you might aswell say that taking out an enemy tank is "pointless".

i agree that killing yourself in the process is noobish, but when you drive up and jump out before detonating the c4, hence surviving the attack, then it involves a bit of skill to avoid the tank/apc blowing you up before you get there. the skill is thinking where the tank is going to be looking, and which is the best angle to hit it from.

when it wastes a ticket by suiciding, there isnt as much point, as say going AT as a group and taking the tank on togeather, with a medic on the revive. After having a whole clan at it taking donw one tank for a suicide, and the teamkills for clipping a friendly tank, i wouldnt consider it worth the effort.

I was finding, most players who jihad belive that if they dont die while ramming, they will get the points from the kill, They dont thin about what happens when the manualy suicide to come back and ram again.

What i wrote is based on what i have seen in Australia. Sadly there are alota 'not so smart' players here.
I hope its not the same world wide.

i hate ramming most for the reason, when you really need a transport, and its nowere to be found, its a 90% chance its being used as a suicide jeep.

C4 ramming is just a way of taking on a tank or an APC with a HHMMV, If a tank can blow the shit out of you in a hummer then why can't you blow the shit out of him with a bit of extra firepower

yeah when there are loads of people doing it and there are no transport vehicles about it does get annoying. and yeah it is a lot more tacticle for a group of AT to take out the armour, but i have found that on some maps, mainly karkand, sharqi and mashtuur, the people on my team dont have the sense to spawn as an AT, they are quite happy for the armour to dominate.

I did this for my basic explosives badge on Warlord.
(Those ATV's works a treat!)

I tried to survive each encounter without suiciding but if it was a close call I'd rather take us both down.

On the matter of a team point being lost because of a suicide, how many tickets would we loose if the tank would drive around for a couple of minutes?
I believe we would loose a hell off a lot more than one ticket...

My way of C4 ramming, is alot more complicated, I load my transport chopper with C4 and then search for attack choppers to blow out the sky.

i found that if you dont hit the frount of the vodnik ect, the shell goes right thru. And 90% of the time it will survive a front shot.

Jumping out and detonating to survive the encounter is something I have no problem with people doing to me when I'm in a tank or apc.  That shows that they are trying to help there team kill as many of my team as they can without dying.

This is what annoys me.  You ram a tank with a C4 vehicle while still in it.  The tank kills you as usual.  The tank driver gets credit for the kill.  You should not get credit for killing the tank driver when it blows up after your dead.
Anyone can drive a ATV or Jeep into a tank.  It takes skill to know when to jump out and when to hit that detonator.

Skill should be rewarded not stupidity.

Nah, Jihad Jeeping is golden. It's not pointless even if you do die.

Ever play chess? Certain pieces on the board are strategically more important than others. Consider the tank the enemy's queen. Your Spec Ops + Vodnik is a pawn. Yeah so you lose your one ticket (If you die) but you take out a piece of armor that would have likely gone on to kill off another 3 to 10, depending on the skill of the pilot. In the bigger picture it's a very good use of a ticket. Much better than the sniper sitting above the Square on the roof waiting to get artillery while the rest of your team gets chewed up by the M1A2, wouldn't you say?

And that's only assuming that you die! 99% of the time when I use a C4 vehicle, I don't die until a few kills later. On top of that, I've never, EVER suicided to go back and get a new buggy. If that's the way they do it in Australia, I'm sincerely sorry for all the good players over there. That's pointless. You achieve your goal, then you keep fighting. That's the way I do it anyway. Also, you don't need to coat the whole car in C4. Two pieces will do just the same if you're doing it right. That way you might even be able to find another target on foot, or if you're an extremely lucky little jihad jeeper, you might find another transport to blow up in front of an APC.

I put them in locations to defend flags and limit access to flags.  I don't go running around with them.  I'm still trying to get my expert explosives badge.  Unlike most people I know to place them so you don't see them before it's too late.

Still not much "skill" to it.  No more skill than C4'ing an ATV and sneaking up on armor.

Ill admit, i love suicide bombing, its funny.  But at the same time, i hate getting the - teampoints for it.  But, if im going for expert explosives....im worried more about

1.) Getting time in to get up to 500 hours
2.) Getting 37 kills IAR
3.) Knocking that whore in the tank down a peg or two
4.) Having a good time, and getting a good laugh about it

Sometimes I will load up a hmmvw or other vehicle with a couple C4 charges, and park it where the enemy will hop in, or a common tank path, sit off in the distance where i can see it, then as the tank drives by, or the enemy gets in and starts to drive.......they die.  It works pretty well too if you can sneak up to the enemys transport/attack choppers or jet and put c4 on it, wait til they get up in the air, get out away from you, and explode.
