yes, i should have qualified that by saying any american who is not a class 2 manufacturer/dealer or class 3 dealer. yeah, dilbert shot a "dealer sample".
in short defcon, if you want to shoot a full-auto UMP, cross the border with some cash and find a class 3 dealer with a large shop.

Sounds like an HK SMG...Dilbert_X wrote:
First two or three shots were sort of controlled, the rest not.
My MP-5 was like that.
Short barreled M4 is a better flight crew weapon anyways.
Burnzz was right. I need pictures.Trotskygrad wrote:

(Though I wouldn't say no to shooting one.)

Thinking about trading in the Gen4, though. I'd rather have something else or another Gen3 17.1stSFOD-Delta wrote:

Couldn't find a good USP Expert, but a brand new USP9 Combat Competition(or Custom Combat) showed up at the PX back home. Had my dad pick it up and now I'm out a few bucks.

Very nice, reminds me of my USP 9mm
Looking at getting a rifle, mainly vermin/pest shooting - rabbits, goats, roos, maybe the odd pig. Calibres/manufactures/options you would recommend? Nothing too expensive, I would like it keep it all around ~AU$500.
As an interesting sidenote, I am buying a rifle because its easier to get than a paintball marker here in AU, how fucked is that.

Ask around locally what other people are using, supply of anything in Aus is flakey so you need something from a stable importer and for which there is a stable supply of ammo.
A super-duper special import custom rifle in an odd calibre is not what you want. Brno make reasonable entry level gear - apart from that I don't have much experience with rifles.
Also, correct cleaning is essential, esp for rifles.

if you've never done much/any rifle shooting before i'd start with a .22. assuming like dil pointed out you can get the ammo it's a)dirt cheap and b)still accurate and powerful enough for what you want.Adams_BJ wrote:

Depends also what sort of land you'll be shooting over. If you're range-limited you don't want a cartridge which is dangerous at long range.
I guess a starting point would be 22-250 or 222, or 22lr for rabbits.
A$500 is right at the bottom end of the market for a scope/mount/rifle combo, plus you'll need a case, cleaning kit and ammo and presumably a safe.
Of course there's secondhand.
