I know flash bangs do, I'm pritty sure that tear gas does, but do smoke grenades count?

Nope. Only tear gas and flashbangs. I've thrown many a smoke and have received no commendation.

The tactical support stuff only came about when Special Forces came out.

Also if you throw a flashbang in normal bf2, does that count towards your global useage?

if your going for vet/exp tactical support weapons, the tear gas doesnt go towards it, only the flashbangs.

Never mind what counts for the badge,I wonder how the 2 people managed to get the expert award although there's a bug....did they use 3000 flashbangs in one round?

question... can you be awarded the Tactical Support Weaponry badge in a standard game of BF2? i have noticed that my uses increase with use in BF2 but the award is SF so... can it be awarded?
