Joined a server at another forum I moderate, (yes you're not the only one.) This game's fun when there are others and their creations around. The server's been up for a while so the Alpha base has already been created with dorm rooms for everyone, a decent series of mines and a railway line to travel to a town. Also there's a guy who keeps leaving cake on pressure plates so if anyone takes any cake they get lava dumped on them or drowned or fall into a pit. People generally spread out to make their major creations so I've only run into a few of them. As for myself I saw a map of the whole map so far, picked an island and decided that this would be my Island of Awesome. My first step though is to build a rail line to Alpha. which I've made a good start on, finishing my underwater tunnel and carving through most of a large mountain range. It'll be fuckin' sweet when it's done and I'll use that to distract me from how much time I would have wasted.

You havent even seen my shit tower yet, its gunna be mainly glass and iron hopefully, but atm im making the core from cobblestone. Also some dick built over my mine entrance, so there may be a few holes in his foundation from where I was running around looking for it and creepers were sploding.

Lets just wait and see. If its still ugly once its 50% done, then we'll start talking about removing it or not.
How about waiting till its 100% done and then talk about removing it or not. I'm using cobblestone atm because if I don't like the shape of the tower in the end I can still take it down without having to waste a ton of smoothstone, glass and whatever 'crafted' materials I had to use.
I just hate that my view of kampf's towers is now blocked. There were a million other places to build.
