I'm supposed to feel sorry for high school dropouts? And do what? Offer them a larger chunk of my paycheck?
Doubt everyone on min wage is a highschool dropout. But hey, I'm sure there are plenty of jobs out there it's just the lazy who can't find one, right?
some woman did that with dimed and nickel. but then again she didn't take up a promotion because oh its above minimum wage and im trying to prove my point.
there are jobs everywhere, just people dont want to take them.
I made minimum wage when I was 15 years old and working at Taco Bell. Every job I've held since then has been well above it. Most of the people that get stuck working minimum wage have horrid work histories i.e. not showing up on time, or at all, mouthing off to their bosses, stealing etc. The people that put their head down and actually do the job don't stay at the minimum. They have value.
But it's never the workers fault. It's always that evil corporation putting people down and keeping them in their place, right Aussie?
