Wow, they changed the feel of the jets since the beta. I'm now able to fly the way I want. I fly as low as I can when i'm being locked on. I couldn't do that with the beta for some reason. I would hit an invisible tree or something.

They need to raise the flight ceiling on some of the maps, especially Canals (which is a map I otherwise quite like)

The game is half broken at this point but so was BF2 when it was released if memory serves me right.
