if it was 64 player on a 64-player map size, like bf2 was, then sure i'd give you the "massive scale fps". 64 players cramped onto an xbox360 map with every flag within spitting distance doesn't say "massive" to me. the only "massive" part about 3/4's of the maps is the miles of empty, featureless mountain/desert/sea surrounding every map.
developer has already stated that all the classic maps are being changed to "fall in with the new bf3 vision". each classic map will only have a maximum of 5 cap points (bye bye 64 size karkand w/ factory). everyone keeps fucking harping on about this map-pack as if it'll be the saviour and delivery of bf3's long-intended promise... it's already come to surface that it won't be anything of the sort. plus, people are already expressing their discontent with the 9 vanilla maps and are 'waiting on' some maps that were originally designed 7 years ago? lol. top-rate title here.AussieReaper wrote:

at least you have VOIP and some form of communication-teamwork functionality. we have nothing. you can't even call for a medic/ammo unless you're near and looking at a support/assault guy (hard to identify at a glance) and then mash 'q'. then it doesn't seem to work anyway because they never give the fucking shit. working with and talking to your squad on pc is limited to text-chat. in a really shitty text box. that disappears/refreshes in about 3 seconds. teamwork does not exist in this game.Macbeth wrote:

For instance, in BC2 whenever a squad mate talked there would be a little sound icon by their name in the lower left squad table. Cool, you know who said what right? In BF3 the talking icon is gone. Whenever someone says something you have to ask who said what. It makes playing with randoms that much harder. Little things like that can make a world of difference.
