MTL's surprising this year with such a crappy defense. Rangers haven't really been given a major test. They're good (I predicted 6th in the east on my blog), but can they compete with powerhouses like Pittsburgh, Washington, Boston (who's finally making a comeback), Buffalo, Philly, etc? I don't think so. All those teams are deeper in terms of offense and have better defenses. Although Girardi and Staal when he comes back are one of the best pairings in the NHL.

I do not understand the Wild. Ya they are the best team in the NHL right now on points I think, but when I watch them I do not see them as the best team. Don't get me wrong I like that they are winning, but they barely win. Every game is so damn close and comes down right to the end it makes you wonder if they are living on borrowed time.
