Same, Two Asus builds back to back.  X58 and Z68.  Very solid.

I agree that if you can get teh Z68 for the price of a P67.

Apart from SSD caching, they include O/C abilities, and switchable graphics (SB IGP), whereas before you had to choose what you wanted; either O/C ability (P67) or IGP support (H67). Now you get all in one, I don't see why people still buy P/H67. My board for example (P8P67MPro) was EOL as soon as Z68 launched.

nothing. the Z68 has a feature called intel smart response technology (isrt). it allows the user to combine a ssd and a mechanical drive as one, resulting in a more balanced performance. a ssd that has a maximum size of 60 GB  can function as a cache while your main storage is the mechanical drive.
it is bullshit. this technology should have been released years ago. the ssd are now at affordable prices, no one buys 60 GB when you can spend a little more and get a 120 GB.

I meant, what motherboard should I look for if I just use a plain ~120GB SSD for OS + Programs and a old HDD for data in a PC with a dedicated GPU

I'd prefer something with USB3 and 6Gbit/s SATA support

Asus P8Z68-V for 125. U will love it. plenty of oc guids out there for it
the differences i know between it and the cheaper asus boards are : support sli, dual gpu mode @ x16, x8, more usb 3 ports, better onboard audio, intels lan controller instead of realtek..and moaaaar
