Hi

Apologies if im asking in the wrong forum.

I have a Dimensions Dell PC 8250, Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.53GHz , CPU Speed 2519 MHz , Front-Side Bus Speed 533 MHz

And an ATI Radeon X800xl, I notice that even when playing locally( ie not on the network)  with the graphics set to medium its somewhat jerky and slow, I currently have 512Mb or Ram and am thinking of getting another Gb taking me to 1.5Gb - , apparently I need RAMBUS Memory and its damm expensive so before I buy am I going to see any improvement, I understand there are lots of factors but general thoughts would be appreciated.

Regards

A memory upgrade would help greatly. 512 is simply not enough. (2GB is probably the optimum).

I'm not sure about that RAMBUS stuff. I only got the cheap crap from the local computer store.

And yes, this should be in the Tech Forums.
