Ohhhhh, I've got an older UltraDurable mobo from Gigabyte. It's been working like a charm for over 2 years now.
That should serve you well.

I most likely will root it and flash it, but I want to wait for the official update from LG. Apparently all their phones from the top end of the Optimus line are supposed to make the jump to 4.0, should that not end up happening, though, I'll go ahead and flash it. I do want to keep the 3D functionality, so if a ROM cannot offer me that, I'll stick with LG's software.Winston_Churchill wrote:
why dont you just put a custom ROM on it? stock is for chumps
But I just installed everything and configured it... it would take so long!!! XDWinston_Churchill wrote:

Will keep that in mind. Will be nice to have something to keep me busy (reading into it) in February aside from work.Winston_Churchill wrote:
its been a surprisingly painless process every time ive done it. i think ive switched ROMs 3 times now and kernels at least 10-15. kernels are simple and just require a reboot (and have doubled my battery life, at least). ROMs require a full wipe which is why the full backup is quite useful. the first time i did it i was ready to spend 2-3 days making everything back to normal but it took an hour or two at most before it was all back to the way i liked it.
Really enjoying it. I'm not a fan of the custom UIs, but LG did a pretty good job with their overlay and didn't screw it up royally like HTC's Sense or Samsung's TouchWiz. I went ahead and put Launcher Pro over the home screens just because I wasn't 100% on the launcher that comes with it, but it's really a question of taste and I think a lot of Android users eventually get a custom launcher, anyway.twoblacklines wrote:
