that analogy is fucking awful. you completely missed my point from previous posts. here's a better analogy:

a TV company is giving out free, beatiful, high definition TV's. the only thing is that they modified the TV so that it only works in standard definition. if you want to unlock high definition, you need to go back to the store and buy it from them.

but instead of doing that, i decided to open up the TV, and press the button that allows the TV to play high definition. now there's no need to buy the TV because i already have high definition unlocked

is that stealing? nope.

it's dishonest and immoral of you as a consumer. the high-definition service should cost more - it cost them more to provide, or more 'work' in the general sense anyway, which therefore adds in a capitalist logic more 'value' to the item/service. you are not paying them the fair asking price for the particular service you are gaining; you are ripping them off; you are pirating.
