The recommended amount of daily water intake for adults is closer to about 5 lbs (of water), or somewhere between 2-3 L. Assuming you follow this and are eating what the article says you are on average...that's like 20 lbs of consumption per day.

But yeah, there's a lot of things that article neglects to mention.
