I've been in that situation once. I knew i was wasted leaving this one party. A friend took me to sleep at my brother's but he wasn't home for some reason. It was fucking cold out and i didn't know anyone to go to around there so i drove home (my car was at my brother's). Sometimes you have to do retarded shit even if you acknowledge it's not smart.

seriously driving drinked is one of the dumbest things you could ever do. just grab a few hours sleep in your car, call a cab, call a relative or walk or anything else

As I said it was fucking cold, couldn't have slept in my car. I didn't have battery in my cellphone so i couldn't call a cab or something. I'm not stupid and i wouldn't have done that if i had another choice. It was very late and a small town so i was hardly putting other drivers' lives at risk. I met no other drivers on the journey anyways.
