My BF2 acts like its gonna start up then flashes and crashes. I dont know what the problem is. I have reinstalled the patchs to see if thatll help and no. I have windows XP media center. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!
i had an issue like this, but i got xp pro. hope this helps:
1.end background tasks that may interfere with the game or you don't need running at the time
2.delete your windows TEMP folder, and the TEMP folders on all user names
3.go to my documents and delete the battlefield 2 folder.
try these, hope they work. if this doesnt work, i have another suggestion:
manually uninstall the game. See this web page:

after completely uninstalled, install as normal, then install patch. hope this works.
