Personally, I don't find myself getting killed by PKM's any more than before 1.2, and really, it doesn't bother me that much because I know my trusty squad will get the sucker and revive my ass.
I kinda hate to do this, but snipers are complaining about being sniped by the PKM
EDIT: Also, many complaints are about the Support in question standing, even running, then going prone and killing you within seconds.  Not arguing, pointing out

R0ly, I know what you're saying about games and real life (and this thread is a pefect example ), so forgive me if one of my posts at you was a little misworded or harse   I don't claim to have ever been to a war of any kind (or claim to be old enough yet, or plan to, or ...), but I think based on the statistics the recoil on something shelling out that many bullets would be kinda heavy and hard to lug around and fire from the hip.  Proning, with the bipod I can see.  See earlier post.

Actually RolyPoly the PKM fires 7.62x54 ammo...not x39...it shoots the same round as the SVD...just a little ammo info for ya...
For the 7.62x54R mm and 7.62 x 51mm, 54mm and 51mm refer to the cartridge length if I am not wrong. (not width). And like you said, it has a heavier barrel as compared to the thin shorter barrels of the assault rifles.
Exactly the first number is always the diameter of the bullet and the second number is always the length of the case...what rolypoly had said was that it fired an AK-47 round when in reality it fires the SVD round and thus is more powerful because of the longer cartridge...the longer the cartridge the more gun powder you can get in there...more gun powder=faster bullet=more impact=more damage...

Agreed bob_6012. copied and pasted the RPD, the PK being right underneath. Thanks for the catch. And when i say width, i meant length, i just had a different point of view from the way i was looking at it. But the point remains it should still is as powerful as a sniper rifle, agreed?

Its a good thing this game is all about shooting people. All I have to do is read theese stupid posts and its a sure bet that I'll have at least one good game.

As for the screens... thats pretty sic man. I don't usually even come across people that many times in a round. My best games I couldn't get close to 200 pts. However, I will say that its not the gun. You got that score becuase you outsmarted people 75 times. That and flying are the only aspects of this game that requires any skill. Once again IT DOES NOT TAKE ANY SKILL TO AIM AND A PERSON AND SHOOT THEM. The accuracy of the guns mean very little. Its all about being smarter....I don't care if the PKM is a one kill shot, I would STILL rather be the guy with the MP7 thats playing smarter. That one shot couldn't hit you if the other person cant see you. There is so many things that can be done to make up for a small amount of accuracy increase of a weapon.

I have yet to play on any servers where "its all people running around with PKMs and sniper rifles."  There is usually a good balance. I just don't see what the crybabys are talking about. I think its just another excuse to get on a message board to piss and moan because sombody is killing you. I have news for you "it used to take skill to aim and click" believers...IF SOMBODY KILLS YOU THEY HAVE MORE SKILL THEN YOU NOT LESS. Call em noobs all you want to. The fact is you died and cried.

DICE, stop changing game mechanics.  The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and it seems like the demise of this wonderful game is as well.  Catering to the moaners and complainers, the people who should work on increasing their ability to play the game rather than displace fault onto external forces, is a sure way to deconstruct an otherwise amazing opus artis.

Its funny as hell though... EA/DICE caves in to some morons who cant hit a jumping target..so they
make it where the jumper cant fire... hahahahaha... omfg...   but yet, choppers can take ground..

all your enemies locations on it ALL GAME...ever which way they are facing..

I play BF2 less and less each week...  Theres simply too many little kiddie retards in this community..

The PKM absolutely owns, I got over 125 kills in 5 rounds with it, and I my average is 7 PR so for me its pretty good.

I finished in the top 4 in all of the rounds.

PKM makes me a good player.

I also got Vet medic today too

Whats happening right now is that people are still used to running across open fields of fire like idiots.
Im starting to see some real tactical play out there now. Where people are locking down areas of advance and having to rely on flanking tactics.

Frontal assaults against a prepared position are now a quick way to die, like they should be.

I don't often give negative karma, but this is exactly the type of flame that deserves it. I know TheBelcorwyn personally and have played with him on a great many of occasions and know his playing style...I say that his claims stand and if you have the ability to use your peurile mind you see that bob there was quite right.

Nowadays the definiton of a professional in this game is someone who plays the game with out bunny hopping, finding exploits or using hacks. They must use teamwork to their advantage and work with the commander to win the round. Form tactics at the start of the round with a team then go for it, The guns will be too accurate or whatever but get on with it, it aint gonna get any better whining about it. But now all these noobs come one and f*** about so you cant get anything done, so I play on my own with whatever gun and just get on with it, I dont come on forums and gloat about a 349504305934 point round
