Okay time to fess up guys, apart from the usual (bunny hopping, dolphin diving etc) what is the lowest of the low tactic that you've used on BF2? 99% of the time I'm a rule abider and hate noob tactics but every once in a while we find that little edge that grants us lots of points and we just can't stop doing it.

OK I'll go first. A while ago I worked out that when you die, your kit bag remains for a good 15 seconds after you respawn. With this in mind I found a server that didn't have auto-balance and was nearly but not full. Mashttur loads up and it's the mad dash for the transport chopper scenario. So I spawn as Spec Ops and throw C4 all over our chopper before jumping in with the others. I wait until we are over an enemy base, jump out and SPLAT! So I quickly switch teams, spawn near where I died and quickly grab my old kit, pull out the detonator and kill 6 of my former comrades. I then did this every round on any map (mostly C4ing up tanks and APCs).

Haven't done it in a while but it is a very sneaky and dirty tactic when it can be done.

I'm suprised people haven't complained about it before. Like i said, I did it about 3 or 4 months ago (assume it still works). I guess it's only really worth it if you can switch easily and there are at least 5 kills to be had.

My fav dirty trick is planting C4 on Enemy jets and leaving. Then when i see it flying around i detonate. It's funny to see the pilot saying wtf?

that works with nades too. I've never done it, but it's been done to me in DC. if you right click when holding a nade (among your squad), then quick switch to the other team before it detonates, you get those nade kills.

I've done some sneaky things, but nothin really crappy. I like to drive to an enemy base in an APC, get out, plant a mine underneath it and run, because usually someone will say, ooh! free armor! and run over and blow themselves up. that's always fun because boy you feel powerful cuz you just outwitted them.

also, when I'm sniper, sometimes I don't even bother shooting, I just run into a crowd and drop a claymore. Another sweet trick is, if you know you're going to die, drop a claymore real quick and lie prone on top of it. you will die, but your body will hide the claymore. 9 times out of 10 the guy who just killed you will trample your dead body and get blown to bits.

heres a cool dirty trick,on any water map,go/sneak on to there carrier, load the little boats up with c4,go hide,then waite till there in the middle of the ocean, them boom, there like wtf??,,,lol

I never really devised my own tactic for sneaky points other than finding a really far spot on karkand being sniper and using the bullet drop to my advantage, Please carry on.. I'd love to try some of these

I block spawns.
I kill snipers with pistols.
I send squadmembers out to defuse claymores.
when somebody TKs me for anything, next spawn I jump into a jeep, drive towards him and jump out so that the empty jeep kills him.
I jump out the chopper, land on the hovering other one to c4 it.

I think thats all...

I would do that if i didnt already have expert explosives.

I killed snipers with pistols too. Well i would use knife, but i have expert knife and i need requirements for expert pistol.

I ALWAYS drop mines at my vehicle when I get out. If I need to hop back in... no prob assuming ff is off for mines & claymores.

On the other hand, if I die, the enemy almost always wants that vehicle and it's worth at least one kill.

Also, if I'm tank whoring at sharqi, I place a mine in front of the tank spawn. This way, if I somehow end up not spawning back at base, the enemy won't run off with the respawned tank right away.

I do that to.

I don't do a whole lot of dirty tricks, but something that's not exactly clean is placing claymores behind camping snipers. As soon as they turn, BOOM.

My favorite (especially on Wake when I didn't get a heli and there's no spawns to attack yet) is to get a buggy and to drive full speed towards teammates and then jump out so they get run over but it isn't a teamkill. Also, I like running the buggy full speed at the heli pad when everyone is waiting for it to spawn, because since they are holding down E they all get in the buggy. A couple of times I timed this perfectly and I got the chopper because they were all over in the buggy. Ooh, and on last thing, I like loading up a full buggy or jeep and the then driving off a cliff, but getting out before it flies off the cliff.

on sharqi at the start of the round i go as USMC as spec ops. run down to by the tow and place 2 c4 packs on the back of each crash barrier the enemy cant c it and try 2 ram through it. c4 detonates and kills them will even take out a tank if it hits the barrier first it leaves them saying wtf there was no1 there

il tell you the easiest way to get a gold kit medal. its on a full 64 player wake. go US, cap a flag which has a little buggy near by, just spend the whole round running over everyone at the airfeild. there will always be ppl wanting the chopper and plane, and its just a big open area with alot of ppl. you can usually manage to get 40+ kills if you do it long enough. and its sooo much fun aswell

i have a better trick. have a friend spawn as US on wake, at the beg. of the round, have him load 2 C4 on ALL vehicles, then hide towards the UAV tralier. i then knifed him, and took his kit. it was awesome.

lmao, thats pretty funny Homeschtar. Id be pissed if someone did it to me, but its funny none the less. I guess I would say the cheapest thing ive done for a kill........would probably be putting C4 on the other teams jet/helo and waiting til they get up in the air, and out of sight to blow them away.

Then there was this time I played like an Iraqi insurgent. I loaded C4 on a buggy, parked on a bridge, ran off into the hills and hid in the trees and just waited for the tanks to roll by. I cant think of the name of the map at the moment. But it was classic. I made that my objective the whole game, since the bridge wouldnt blow (it was a dam) and tanks ALWAYS came down that road to get to the next flag.

also, a pretty cheap (maybe not so much dirty though) tactic is tank sniping.take a tank on wake as chinese once usmc get onto the island;if they take two points in a row (one side of the island), you can sit at airfield and shoot shells across to where they are swarming up. i tried this once when they got beach and the one next to it, and shot them from around where the aa emplacement is on the far side of airfield...i got a few kills, and was pretty much invincible against the hordes of infantry coming up from beach
