Has anyone else with nvidia graphics card had probs with lag of late?

i never had a prob before installing the latest drivers, 81.85 i think?

after installing them last night every server no matter how low the ping was un playable. rolled back drivers today but prob is stil there, uninstalled them and reinstalled them but still there also.

iv run every spywear prog i can find and comes up clean, defragmented disk and still lags like mad..

i have 6800gt ( agp)
2gb ram
athlon 64 3400+
200gb hd
gigabyte K8NS mobo
500w psu
1.5mb adsl internet
all settings high and 4x aa


lags with graphics card at standard clock settings and overclocked
its frustrating as iv never had a prob with this before.

any sudgestions??

the_heart_attack, I have nvidia 6600Gt and got the latest drivers, big mistake. I had to roll back as well. For me though, there's been no problem since.

When I start to experience 'deadly lag', I reboot the pc, do a full scan (of everything, spyware, virus, trojan), delete temp int files... defrag, reboot the router and I'm 'good to go'

Sorry if you've done all this and you're still having problems.

Have you tried running bf2 on medium settings, if it works, you can 'work up' the settings till you find the problem.

Sometimes I get lag, I don't know about all that technical bullshit you guys know about. I just went n00b-tubing, (as such,) to keep myself alive and get kills. Not quite as fun. Also had lag attribute a lot of teamkills and chopper/plane crashes too.
