License test?
You should see how cheap tobacco and alcohol is in NH. Pretty great.

I think it's because I'm smarter than you at the things you wish you were knowledgeable about. Like centralization of power and Hegel.Jay wrote:

What is it you think I'm fighting for? There is no overarching libertarian philosophy or world view. That's pretty much the whole point. Freedom. Freedom in thought, and freedom in outcomes. Everyone has different ideas, and different expectations. The only unifying factor we have is a desire to remain as free as possible. And you mock that? For someone so young to give up on the world already is pathetic.
I also find it funny how you fail at trying to argue political science terms, and theories with me. It's funny because you are convinced you know what you are talking about every time and always end up flaming me in frustration.
Every working engineer has to pass the license exam in the state he wants to work in. Unlike lawyers and doctors, there's no reciprocation between states for engineering licenses. So, if I ever want to move somewhere and work as an engineer there, I have to take the test again. It mostly has to do with differences in building codes, but it's also an extreme form of protectionism.Superior Mind wrote:

No, I'm actually quite knowledgeable in the things I wish to be. Let me know when you can calculate the torsion in a drive shaft, or plot the normal of a slip plane. How about calculating the damping effect on a spring or electrical wave? Oh, and I have a near encyclopedic knowledge of history. Philosophy and politics are just a hobby I dabbled in years ago. Too bad you're still not better at it or smarter than me in it Maybe one day.Macbeth wrote:

I never claimed any knowledge regarding Hegel, just what I had inferred from the book I was reading. It was you and uzique that took that as an opening to attack me. It made you both look like children.Macbeth wrote:
Hegel's master slave dialectic. Can you explain it to me in detail since you are so very knowledgeable about Hegel.

um, pretty sure each state has its own bar exam(in order to practice law in that particular state).Jay wrote:
