Did part of a pretest wasted at a friends house. He got pissed off at me and wouldn't tell me the score. I've a few lawyer buddies. One specializing in DUI and the other is now, well I don't know... Many schools average your GPA/LSAT in some sort of balanced formula.
*oh yea... Go kick ass.
ive been told that most lawyers know how to handle DUI cases because they always get asked by friends to represent them in court. that and personal injury because every lawyer wants to get that pay day and retire.
Yea... As long as you don't hurt anyone -a DUI case is pretty cut and dry. You aren't going to get rich being a State's Attorney. The latter of the two listed above was one for a while. He also had his credentials and on reserve with an agency (he carried). He's since gone over to the darkside and is representing the accused (also no longer backed by a agency). I'll ask him, "how's business?" --- "Couldn't be better. There is always a moron out there getting into trouble."
I know a guy who did corporate law (not a friend though). Skip Campbell. He was one of the attorneys that first succesfully nailed the tobacco industry. He now has more money than god. I rode in his Robinson R44 once around Tampa. One of the few times I would have voted for a D. Man did that guy have fun...
