Our 16 man BF2 server was down all day Saturday and Sunday. Some dumbtard uploaded questionable content to the shared server and it got hacked. It took so long because the company had to get a security team to "investigate" the incident. This is the email they sent me:

"Earlier today, it came to our attention that this machine's security had been compromised. One of our clients had uploaded files onto this machine which violated our Abuse Policies. As such, we have an Security Team investigating the extent, as well as the origin, of the attack itself."

Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this related to a BF2 server? I just thought it was weird. Our server is back online now and we were given a 2-day credit on our bill for the incident.

Server is called 24/7 Dalian Plant - membersinaction.com and the IP is 74.52.38.132.

I don't get problems with hackers. I have been threatened to be hacked, nothing ever happens. Most hacks acquire by "Admins been cearless" ( Real hackers don't bother with game servers, they interested in more prospectives Rather than, silly game server.) You will find people that hack game servers, are mainly kids.

the server company my clan uses keeps having "computer" problems of their own and we are on our third ip now from them for the same flippin server. dont know if it's hackers or not, they dont tell us, prolly to cover their arses, but prolly is. the company sucks

I wasn't careless. The server is housed in Dallas and run by http://www.areyouserved.com -- It's a SHARED server...that means many servers run off of one box tards. Thanks for flaming a guy when he's down. I was just wondering if any of you had ever experienced a problem like this from your hosting companies, geez.
