I also realize there's a quitting smoking thread on the same page, but know that this thread is purely informational to me, and in no way am I intending any spite or offence to those quitting. Keep at it guys

But as title suggests - those who've smoked menthols before, what're the brands which have given you the strongest menthol hit? So far I've only tried Peter Jacksons.. they were alright for menthols, but I quickly just went back to Malboro Golds/Reds. Imo, smoking for me is purely therapeutic and for the buzz; and since all my close friends also indulge, it's come to that stage where I have to find a brand to call home.

I love the full flavored signature taste of Malb. Reds, though since I'm in ozland, we have the FSCs in our Reds - pretty much leaving a chemically aftertaste in your mouth which at most times is unpleasant. Hence, I'm looking for a nice menthol brand to stick with.

Friends suggest Newport Menthols or Malboro Menthols - might pick either up today.

Like an aqua blue. They have a stronger menthol taste than regular marlboro menthols.

I quit for six months and couldn't stand regular smokes when I got rehooked. Smoked marl menthol lights until I quit in November.

I remember when Marlboro Smooth first came out and everyone was going on about those. I also liked how my whole group of friends got into the Marlboro Light hipster phase. Newports are good smokes but the social stigma about them always made me buy Mal. 54's. The kids never bought Newports.

How much are smoke prices now anyway? I haven't touched one in a bit over two years. I remember how a pack of Newport went from $5.25 in 04 to around $7 by 08. That sucked.
