the economy blows, I miss 2005-2007
2007 was when the economy first went into recession.
It is interesting that the economy still blows 5 years later. An entire generation went through high school and into college in this economy. Never mind the people who first went into or got out of college in '08. Economic harm aside, you have to wonder what kind of psychological damage that does to a society too.
In any case, it is getting better slowly. At least we aren't Spain. Youth unemployment is 50% there. It's like 25% here.

all I know is in 2005 my parents were thinking about buying a second house (or at least selling the current one and moving on up) and it seemed very easy to get a decent-paying job. yeah it was all built on a house of cards but it was damn nice while it lasted lol
