In my quest to unlock all the attachments, I'm now on the QBB-95. Maybe not the best LMG, but still pretty versatile. I've been able to run around and get up close and use it as a PDW on steroids with the laser + foregrip, and also change to a flash suppressor and go long range. Annoying thing about distance with this is that you have to go in 7 to 10 round bursts. Need a long burst for the gun to settle, but once you go too long the bullets start coming out sideways. Not like anyone can fight back if they're suppressed though.
That's what transport helis are there for!-Sh1fty- wrote:
Snipers should be able to do that, and so should every other class. Hate when buildings are blocked off.
Use teamplay and get dropped off on any roof top you want.
Also, ladders.
They are on many buildings, but have slow ascending as an offset.
If DICE wanted us to access every roof that easily without a ladder, they would surely have added grappling hooks.-Sh1fty- wrote:
If it was a grappling hook you'd all be having joygasms over how reminiscent it is of BF2:SF. Think of it as a grappling hook.
Oh really?-Sh1fty- wrote:
I don't know why you're all being such douches insulting me over my opinion of a gameplay element.
This coming from they guy that was bitching about the ejection port being on the wrong side.
But suddenly you're completely fine with 100kg soldier riding on a tiny RC helicopter, defending it as a gameplay element.
MAV lifting is blatantly obviously a glitch that was not intended to be feature by the devs in the semi-realistic war game franchise of Battlefield.
Stop defending it and play the recon class as intended, using ladders and helis to access roof tops.

Having said that, I want the Special Forces expansion re-envisioned in BF3.
Or you use the parachute spawn, from a spawn beacon to reach roofs...
One undeniable piece of evidence that some buildings weren't meant to be climbed on to is the shear amount of invisible walls on those places.

So what's the general consensus for the best class setups post-patch?

I can't get used to the new sniping drop.

BF3S platoon has an opening
They've changed minimum drop distance and stuff, and it's just weird, now.coke wrote:

But I got a bit better at it today, with practice.
So bullet drop starts at greater distances then? Good! It was stupid how it was before.FFLink wrote:

As you say it'll just take getting used to again.
It works well for long distances, but close range (like 200-400) it's harder to hit someone in the face, I find.
