Just startede playing BF2 again....didnt like BF3. And I finally got the 2-star rank. I was only missing like 14 hours or so, when I stop playing 2.5 years ago!!!! But now I got it...and with a paddle kill!

in the same round i also got this.

only my 5th.
now I "only" have to play 190 hours more, to get my next and final rank (4 star is not an option)...dont think thats going to happen.

Because of how much everyone still plays BF2, and how much stats matter, and how you all care about my e-awards, here's my latest:

Oh drumroll, how I missed your staccato salute to my awsum skillz. Kind of scary though - 2800 hours over 6 years and I'm only half way to getting my expert armor badge.

Love the drumroll, why didn't I get two drumrolls though
Hi! Sorry for that question because probably it's already asked but does it matter if i get my kills IAR for veteran or gold badge full before playtime?
TY!
TY!
You need the play time first.
Aaw so sad i hoped that i can get these kills from 1 time when i was commander and i think i got 19 kills i was so furious because if there would have been 1 kill more i would had got golden AA badge (also got veteran badge then).
Interesting is that the score board doesn't show kills (artillery) but system registers them anyway.

MOAR MEDALS!
Distinguished Service Medal #7

Got a video of it, too. Because getting a medal in BF2 is such a momentous occasion.

Holy cow! I forgot that they used to make games where the gun didn't take up your whole screen, and where ribbons and medals were hard to earn!
It's freaking pathetic what video gaming has become.

And above your tomb, the stars will belong to us.
Nice work man! I still haven't earned my first of those. I need 14 more hours of command time to get it. I suppose then it's just 45 team points IAR for each one after that?Sup3r_Dr4gon wrote:

I just finally got my European Union Special Service Medal. I'm going to start commanding more to get the DSM and MAYBE that damn War College Ribbon to finish all the vanilla awards.

BF2 made you work for your ranks and awards. It's pretty cool to be playing the game for years and still be able to earn them.
No, for your second you need 200hours each as commander/squad leader/member time for 3rd 300hrs, 4th 400hrs etc etc
Thanks. I just checked SD stats and saw he had over 700 commander hours. That's a lot of commanding.DrunkFace wrote:

He doesn't really command. Just plays late at night on server with maybe 20 people, goes commander then runs around with his DAO.
Generally when I command, I'm sitting out of the battle to more reliably use the assets. Can't do scans when I'm dead.DrunkFace wrote:

You must not have played with me for quite some time - I can't remember the last time I played BF2 late at night. By the time I'm up at midnight all the AU BF2 servers have died, so then I have to play on American servers and GL spam like I did when I got my DSM.
Back in my day, you had to walk uphill in the winter snow of Karkand to get your WCR. Both ways. Kids these days...
I'm gonna get this game
