Even in cool runnings it makes it so plainly obvious that bob-sledding is as foreign to Jamacian's as the ice you need to run it on. From just watching the movie I'd have guessed running or pushcarting were their national sports.

That's my point exactly though, it isn't a reasoned response it's just automatic because of that movie people associate Jamaica with bobsledding, (and other things but I mean in terms of sport,) because that's what the movie is about. For many people it's one of the very very few things they have ever heard about Jamaica. Marijuana, Bob Marley, Usain Bolt and Cool Runnings.
