Free Mode is the only thing played on IV nowadays and hefty populated so they wouldn't dare cut that out, if they do and announce that, 50% sales will be lost, if not more.FFLink wrote:

Definitely some dirtbike racing going on in that picture with their uniforms, I'm excited to see what offroading is like now in this engine when you're in a vehicle made for offroading, none of the other Euphoria games had any serious vehicular off-roading at all now that I think about it, the best you could get was the beaches in GTA IV and we all know how pathetic that was for off-roading even though you could get cops to do hilarious things there.
Tennis looks REALLY detailed to not be playable, either that or those are just very cleaned up pictures just to show off how people do things with their lives in the game now.....things that look really fucking detailed that you yourself can't do. Rockstar themselves don't make any tennis games afaik so there's no self-competition issue like there was with GTA IV and the Midnight Club franchise. Not a huge deal either way, but the more activities, the better
Good to see they'll have parachutes from the get-go this time instead of only having them in a separate DLC relased a year and a half later but I expected nothing less from a more developed GTA on the same engine as the last one and it was terribly obvious it was missing from vanilla GTA IV.

Limited vehicle ammo? Has that ever happened?
In my recollection once you had access to the jet (or vehicle with weapons) you were already far enough along in the game that you were probably just fucking around anyway and you weren't really using it to complete missions. Giving limited ammo to it would be fairly pointless. Unless of course they give it to you halfway through and you dogfight your nemesis or something.
of course this could just be to make the plane look pretty, and more to do with jnumbersnumbersandaunderscore's assburgers and reading too much into something.

Game looks good though, I hope they balance the game play somewhere between GTA IV and GTA3/VC/SA. Personally, as much as I liked IV, it didn't have the same single player longevity as the previous titles. Great environmental detail, but lacking the freedom and variation in things to do that SA offered.

I can tell by the screenshots that this game is in fact going to be better than san andreas

I actually liked the more realistic direction the game was going in but I always preferred realism even with the old games. You're definitely right about running out of things to do in free-mode though, that's why I always play TBoGT when I play because it added the most extra stuff to do when you're not already on a mission, that and I liked Luis more as a character than Niko even though he runs funny. That was really the DLC that made the game what it should've been in my opinion: It added re-playable missions, nightclubs, parachutes, C4 charges, autoshotguns with optional exploding shells, a tank, an actual machine gun and it even made that riverside driving range usable. I'm starting to feel like a lot of this is stuff they meant to add but couldn't unless the stuff came in a separate add-on like it did.
But like I said before they have a lot more to work with now: more Euphoria engine experience, 1GB more XBox DVD space and they're not afraid to do multiple discs now on the 360. Man, that shitty console dictates everything anybody does, lol
