yeah cause mexico is the only country in the world with a rich culinary tradition of thousands of years, and britain has no such neighbours with any such tradition. not like we haven't annexed half of the world's exotic locations and adopted their cuisines with colonial twists of our own. no sir. we're isolated eating celtic salads.Superior Mind wrote:
No matter how great you Brits think you have it, you'll never have the same amazing access we have to Mexican food, a culinary tradition many thousands of years old, equal in richness to those of Asia.
please stop recycling your favourite anthropology textbooks and develop an individual brain. like this guy:
warman, have you ever left wisconsin, you stupid fucking hick? what would you know about anything that isn't blue-collar dairy produce? did your parents home-teach you how food tastes out of state? eat shit.war man wrote:

the major flaw with this conversation is that most american posters have never left america, and thus have never tried any other cuisine. you are a poor travelled bunch. how can you compare without first-hand taste? my most distinct memory of american cuisine is steakhouses on the side of freeways that are the size of shopping malls (with dishes and patrons to match), and breakfast fast-food joints serving sky-high piles of pancakes. oh and i remember a 50's themed diner that served heart-attack burgers. where are you making your defense of high cuisine from? all those posh NY and LA restaurants that copy european trends? or worse, that write all their menus in french and import a francophile maitre'd? lol. "american" cuisine.
anyway, on a different note... this is fully fucking i n s a n e
