One of the those things isn't getting done.

Even if you could speed read it would take more than 8 hours to crank through 600p in a normal sized book. Most people can handle around 40-50p an hour.

The quality of the essay probably won't be the greatest, either.

I'm prepared to hear how you're superman and once got a 95 on a paper written in 2 hours. It happens, but I wouldn't bet on a repeat.

ended up skipping one of the books and using a book i read last year as a source so i read around 200 more pages then wrote it. doubt its anything to brag about but i got it done in time so meh

I'm guessing this is for an elective course, as I can't foresee a reason a physics major would have to write an essay otherwise. Nobody takes their electives very seriously, so it's nothing to worry about...well, apart from a slight hit to your CGPA. The essay must have been very short if you could base it off a book read prior and 200p of additional research. What was it in?
