That feeling when 50m before a T-intersection, all the warning lights in my car come on, the power steering fails, the brakes fail and the pedal won't move and the engine starts revving without input. Thank god for handbrake. Then I turn the car off, turn it back on and everything is working perfectly.
All of my WTF.

Don't worry, you'll be able to get aftermarket ones no problem (which will probably be better)._j5689_ wrote:
Ford just recently stopped making new Limited Slip Differential carriers for 8.8 28-spline axles, which means any 2005.5(switched to the current 31-splines halfway through) and previous Crown Victorias(among many many other Ford vehicles of all kinds) will be out of luck when they're sold out. Gotta get a job fast now so I can scoop one up.
I hear there's supposed to be a lot of snow this season and I'd like the car to be able to drive well in it and not get stuck if I absolutely need to get somewhere. Plus I've heard in normal weather, they're a lot of fun anyway
If you can get a LSD, though, I highly recommend it. Far, far more fun to drive a LSD-equipped RWD car (powerslide ftw).
If ever you do get stuck, here's how to do a trick called the 'poor man's LSD': hold your brake lightly with your left foot, and give it 1/4 throttle with your right. the brake action will prevent the unstuck wheel from spinning, essentially locking your diff.
I hate to admit it, but having to do that in my stick-shift Jetta was the one thing that made me wish I had an automatic. Heel-toe braking, argh...
I like pie.
My bike was stolen. Cut right through the lock.
I like pie.
my car was understeering around right hand corners, literally couldn't turn around them at more than 20mph before it'd start sliding outCybargs wrote:

Would you say the LSD helped in the snow/rain a lot or just a little bit?TSI wrote:

In my view, a little bit. It won't make your unsnowable car suddenly snowable, if that's what you ask. Maybe 5-10% increase in cornering ability?_j5689_ wrote:
