Aww... I just saw it come up on my facebook feed.
lol, yeah it's too bad cuz it is a really cool picture. It had already been overcast for two days before the storm even hit so it was just a natural progression unlike the photo
it's so obviously fake, you needed someone to tell you it was fake?
"people in ny have a general idea of how to drive. one of the pedals goes forward the other one prevents you from dying"
Jaekey's gon hadta light you up na
I don't care any more.
Just took a drive to see what's up with the rest of the city, and everybody's still got power. No downed trees or anything, just a few clumps of twigs and a shitload of leaves. It's raining and still kind of windy on highways and bridges but definitely pretty navigable for anybody that can actually drive. Mind still = blown that we were this unnaffected by the hurricane/storm, everybody here thought it was a guarantee we were gonna lose power but life went and goes on like any other rainy day does, lol

Somebody caught a video of an explosion at the Consolidated Edison power plant at East 14th Street and FDR Drive which they say is because of the hurricane. Go to 3:00 to see it

those winds
We really got lucky in DC, it could have been worse. We didn't lose power here except for one 4 second outage. Campus is pretty good as well. Too bad NYC and NJ were not so lucky.
Shit is still fucked

could be worse (assuming that isn't your car )
Yeah, I parked my car around the block, away from any big trees We didn't lose power either. Basically the worst thing that came out of the storm for me personally was the Starbucks a block away was closed this morning. That's a genuine first world problem. Other people got completely fucked over. I feel lucky as hell.
