Ever have this happen to you in a cobra/BH?  You are flying with a full load and no threats are in the air - you are flying over a hilly area and all seems well.  The enemy has not detected you yet and there isnt the slightest buzz from a missle lock.  Then all of a sudden the Helo is out of control - you are flying in circles - you come to realize the pilot was a sniper who wanted to get to his nice position on the hill and didnt bother to inform the rest of the occupants - W/O warning - no enemy threat - GONE.

I am able to take control of the Helo and make a succesfull crash land in the hills.

Ever happen to anybody else?

Yes, that happens a lot.  Once, though, I thought my pilot did that to me, but in actuality he got shot (I assume from an M95).

Ohhh yeah- The only time that's anything less than completely infuriating is when you're at a cybercafe with your friend, and you can lean over and pimp slap him for his stupidity.

For the guy that did it to me - I was able to see his parachute deploy

It gets worse when you're acting as gunner in a bomber, your pilot starts to descend on an enemy CP so you think he's doing a bombing run but as planet earth is coming closer and closer you notice the pilot seat is empty - at which time it's too late to pull up or bail out and open your parachute.

Happened to me a couple of times and there wasn't any missile alarm, the guy just used the bomber as transportation to get from A to B.

I bail out when my birds about to go down... if I don't have enough time to yell "bail out!" then it's every man for himself.  If you're dumb enough not to notice the smoke and flames coming from the tail rotor, and the lack of pilot, then you -should- be dead.

This one time on Kubra Dam... I am waiting for the bomber. this guy jumps in the pilot seat before I could.... so I jump in the gunner.

we take off(we're USA) no sooner than we get off the ground (don't know wtf he was expecting to do out there) he says "slay I'm bailing.. just a warning" when does he say it? less than a second before I'm smacking the ground. Why did he grab the pilot seat? why didn't he just say BEFORE WE TOOK OFF "I'm gonna be bailing, so you should fly"
the idiocy of some people.

Don't always blame the pilot unless it's obvious why he decided to 'bail'. I was the pilot of a BH, full crew and gunning for the hills (Kubra dam)... all of a sudden 'there is a problem with your connection' .. can you see where I'm going with this ... I crash out of the server but managed to get back within 2 mins. I get a message .... 'what did you bail for, you nearly killed us' ... So it's not always the pilots fault . Shame they didn't read the green 'blanket ban has been disconnected from the server'

As for the obvious ones.... grrrr, don't you just hate them when they do that.

it pays to pay attention to the machine's "health" bar. (didn't know what else to call it)

I was piloting the AZ-10 on Wake Island with a good gunner. We where racking up the kills and avoiding AA missiles for around 10 minutes, then I fat-fingered the keyboard and tapped the E key, needless to say but he never had the chance to eject. I was just as disappointed as my gunner because I was only 2 kill assists from the crew service ribbon and was not able to get another aircraft before the round ended. Which brings up a question, has anyone tried the Z-Board keyboard? That might help with those “excitable moments” and prevent another accidental bail out.

Situations like that are why I have a button for seat 1 in any type of vehicle. Pilot/driver dies, bails or drops connection I can pop in and atleast try to keep living. Kept more than 1 Black Hawk from eating dirt that way.

I actually bought the BF2 Zboard. If you don't play a lot of games it works great.  The keys are in a slightly new position, this will throw you off.

I had played the game for like 22 hours and was getting pretty good before I bought the keyboard.  because the keys are in a slightly, different location, using the new keyboard actually made me worse becuase my fingers wanted to hit the keys that they were used to.  So I ended up switching back to my old keybaord.

However, the actual keyboard itself is a well designed product.  and the graphics are good on the board.

I solved that issue by simply re-keying the entry/exit key to the Y key - no accidental bailing that way...yet still reachable without moving your hand too far.

I was in a gunship, and i reached lance copral, i was so over joyed i accedentally hit the eject button trying to press the screenshot button, lets just say, i'm glad i was not the pilot, and sorry i did not think that remapping those 2 keys so close together was ever gonna cause a problem.

It's never been a problem for me if the chopper pilot bails, because i am a pilot i can regain control within seconds, what bothers me is when the pilot bails and some1 who doesnt know how to fly grabs the pilot seat, i think every1 should learn how to atleast land a BH. Another thing that sux is the M95, if your low altitude near a ledge and the pilot gets sniped out, it don't spin outa control, you just drop

Someone did that to me today. I wanted and got a pilot in a jet so I could attack ground targets. I suddenly notice the plane is going with some determination out to the combat zone. I notice that one of the squares is grey. I swore profanities at the ex-pilot but still managed to take over the jet, failing only by smashing it into a full loaded transport boat, (Three kills.)

Someone did the suprise bail on us last night in a full Black Hawk. I hit my magic button and took control saving the chopper and the crew. Even saw tard boy under his chute in the process.  Flew untill she was in the red. Then noticed that everyone was out except me and 1 gunner. Being the asshole I am I decided that, since the only guy left in it was the same little bitch that tk'd me to get to it earlier in the round, I'd repay the favor with a little extra punish. I came around like I was gonna get repairs at our helipad. Angled it in steep and fast before bailing and letting him become "No More".  Even though it ended with a crash all in all I felt pretty good about that flight. I guess I was both the hero and the evil bastard at the same time.
