yeah those RIBs are soooo slow. i love owning them with planes tho.

Well yeah you can't defend the boat, because your only gun is the freakin SAW. Hell, give the rib a chance and put at least a PKM on there, lol.

I just think that because it has shit specs to begin with (speed, hit points, firepower), no one has ever cared about tweaking it.

It's just been ignored, when it should be one of the best ways to get across water.

actually, I ALWAYS use RIOBs, and guess what? I'm rarely taken out by znything. the most hilarious time I wa shyough was by another RIB. it's their weakness that actually he;ps them, as nobody seems to bother takking them out. I was on a server once, on wake, as USMC, the rest of my team were generally either waiting for a balckhawk or jet, or dead, or fighting and losing on the island, when I took a ROIB, only me in it, as spec op, and went straight to the airfield, and took out 2 enemy arty, the enemy commander dropped a supply crate, so i re-supplied ( and took out the repaired arty after resupplying the addtitonal 2 C$ it had taken), then took out the remaining arty piece, and the UAV, as there were no enemies at airfiled, then for some reason, the PLA couldn't fight as effectively, the commander dropped yet another supply crate, so I resupplied, and yet aagin took out the  UAV, then took out the scan. the enemy commander stopped droppign supply crates.

yea it sounds like a  good idea

I tend to go right for the boats if I am in a jet. They are the easiest thing to kill in BF2, often times you can just use guns. I love camping in the HJ turret on Dragon Valley and waiting for anything to come by, and a lot of the time I end up nailing a RIB or two.

I just wish they were faster, and had more firepower.

i think Ribs should get Tows, 50.Cal's and Anti Air, with the ability to drop mines. throw C4, and have a tank gun mounted.

RIB must remain slow!!! they are in the water, man! It's normal for them to be slower than cars!
BUT I do agree that their machine gun is too damn weak!! I've tried to shoot down a heli and it's practically impossible, it takes ages. in the game cars have much more powerful MGs and can be a real danger for helis since the patch that made heli's more vulnerable. RIBs are useless!

I want one of those hovercrafts that people mention every so often... A boost to the RIBs would be welcome though..... A .50 cal would be great.
