You're not able to get it UNTIL AF comes out, AFAIK

Is that the only new award you can get? (Cause there isn't a new army, so another medal would be unlogical)
North American Service Ribbon is the only new award coming with Armoured Fury, the US didn`t have their own ribbon in vanilla BF since no combat took place on that continent !
