For me - playing in this way = n00bness . In real life special ops squads defend airfields , and the line of defence is about 5km around airfield , which includes tanks , APC , mines , anti personel mines , snipers , machine guns , bunkers , turrels, etc. Ingame - nothing , really nothing defends aifield .
On CW baserape is ok , because everybody play in team . On puplic server - unaccepteble .

Yes , it is a game . But play it fair .

p/s one time I and my friend were raped by 4 APC's and about 2 infantry squads on Dragon Valley , x32 . After 9 tryes we took of in our choper and blow all that motherfuckers away . You cannot imagine , how satisfyed we were ... btw , we won that round .

What I wanted to say ? - Good , skilled players wont let you baserape them . While killing n00bs on uncapable base = n00bness .

well, for me, the biggest thrill I e is sneaking onto the US carrier on Wake, with NO ONE even hitting me ONCE. then, a USMC found me when I was just emerging. the look on the face when I pumped him full of lead was priceless. then I wet an boomed up the UAV and scan ( having already taken out the remaining arty) then found a plane heading straight for me. bang bang bang, SMASH, I sniped the pilot with a lucky shot. as I remember, it took 10 poeople to fnally shoot me down, and even then, I think I took out some of them. that's when I got promotion to PFC. not bad for a new player that's only been playing a couple of months. then I remember when I snuck into the PLA base on dalian plant. it was hilarious. I didn't take any assets out ( I couldn't find them) bt for a good few minutes, I was sneaking around the base, and killed a couple of people that spawned. however, someone kept sniping me, and eventually I had to quit ( I had to do something, I'm a good sport usually). so inventive baserape- good. just going in with guns blazing hoping someone will be caught in the crossfire- bad,

In "real life", soldiers play by even dirtier rules than the ones set down by EA.  Planes would be dropping six smart bombs on six individual targets, instead of the carpet bombing being done by plane whores in the game now.  The JSF in game, would be a stealth jet, soldiers in buildings wouldn't show up on a passing satellite scan, snipers could see past the 400 meter fog laid down (let alone rifle shots to the chest would be more fatal), and what not....

Yes, because in "real life", bases are a bit harder to get into because of manpower, equipment on hand, and built in defenses.  If it were like what it was in real life, UAVs, satellite dishes, and artillery would be harder to take out.  However, EA made it possible for such things to be taken out, because otherwise the commanders would having all the fun blasting everyone to pieces.

What is fair?!  EA's already got Rules of Engagement set for ranked servers, and nowhere does it say that spawn-camping/base-raping is unacceptable.  They do say that it's an option that can be put into the "server rules", but not an absolute, "You can't do this!"

Respect the server's rules (if they're following EA's RoE for ranked servers), and that's it.  If the server doesn't say, "No base/spawn-camping!", don't whine about it when it's being done.  Otherwise, take it up to the admin.

To a few admins out there!

Put the kicking/banning worthy offenses in the message area of the loading screens, and don't depend solely upon scrolling messages in game!  It drives me nuts when someone is being harassed to follow server rules that are being scrolled through "in-game", but disappear so quickly from a recent batch of kills, promotions, and what not.  Let alone the admin telling the "offending player" to follow the rules in a flurry of "Enemy ____ spotted", "Sorry, my bad", and "Thanks."  In fact, put it in scrolling in-game rules AND loading screens!

Exactly my point!  I was playing on a Karkand only server (32 map) last night, and I was on the MEC side.  For about three rounds, their team was pulvarizing our team with the MBA and APC left and right.  I was wanting to play medic or support for a bit, but I finally got tired of being killed by enemy armor by the fourth game, so I went engineer.  With five mines, AND ONLY FIVE MINES, I all but stopped the enemy armor from penetrating deeply within the city area.  Also, with all the enemy ground troops flooding the hotel area, it was difficult for any enemy engineers to rid the area of those mines.

Did I whine about the spawn-camping they were doing?  HELL NO!  I did something about it!  Hell with all the captains and lt. colonels we had on our team, I was surprised that I was the first to do anything about it!  Who knows, maybe they were wanting to play medics or support at the time too.

Exactly again.  Good players with some drive will do something about it.  Most games should have enough Master/First Sergeants and above on both sides to counteract the enemy Master/First Sergeants on the other team.

Good thing I'm only at the runway for about ~12 seconds IAR, learn to stay in the air and hey presto - there's no problem!
